PASA FAQ

What is PASA?
PASA stands for the Pilipino-American Student Association. It is basically the collegiate Filipino Club at the California State University, Fullerton. The full name of the organization is CSUF PASA Kaibigan.

What is Kaibigan?
“Kaibigan” is “Friend” in Tagalog, the major language of the Philippines.

Is PASA a fraternity/sorority?
No, we are not a Greek organization.

When/where does PASA hold its general meetings?
PASA’s general meetings take place every Wednesday at around 4:00pm during each semester. Most meetings are held at CSUF’s Titan Student Union (TSU)

How do you become an active member of PASA?
To become an active member of PASA, one must pay membership dues. Dues can be paid per semester or an entire year membership can be purchased at a discounted rate.

How much are dues?
Currently, dues are $15 per semester or $25 for Fall and Spring together.

What are the benefits of paying your dues and becoming an active member?
Benefits include a PASA T-shirt, the right to participate in Friendship Games, the right to participate in PCN, discounts in club-sponsored events, and much more.

Do you have to be Filipino to join PASA?
No, you do not. We encourage non-Filipinos with an interest in Filipino culture to join. In fact, throughout the years some of our non-Filipino members have become Board members.
