First Ever Mr. P.I. Benefit Beauty Pageant
Hello fellow Kaibigans!
Last night was a very memorable and momentous part of CSUF PASA history because we held the first ever Mr. P.I. Benefit Beauty Pageant. This event, spearheaded by your very own Community Advocacy Cultural Chair — Michael Cuvin, was set to be an event that would reach out to our local Fil-Am community. Coming from $3 admission as well as donations from the crowd, PASA was able to raise $185.91 from this 3 hour event. 100% of the proceeds were donated to the Search to Involve Pilipino Americans (SIPA) for the restoration and maintenance of Historic Filipinotown in downtown Los Angeles.
We’d like to acknowledge & thank the handsome men who participated in this year’s show: Adrian Galindo, Ted Shaw, Nico Saldivar, Mikey Salazar, Joshua Dela Cruz, Alex Torres, Eric Torres, Huy Dao, David Rucker, Andew Licari, Matt de Leon, Chris Tju, & Bryan Makalintal.
We’d also like to thank our external guest judges Stephanie Uy, Brittany Lopez, Emeline Allenegui, as well as our very own Sam Danan for co-hosting the event.
Congratulations again to Eric Torres for winning the title of Mr. P.I. and to Mikey Salazar for winning the title of People’s Champ!
If you’re interested in competing and becoming the next Mr. P.I. …well, there’s always next Spring. (;
